I’m a small town girl raised in a South Dakota town with a population of 1,300 people, Gettysburg, SD. While most people refer to their family dynamic as a family tree, I like to consider mine more of a family shrub. A shrub filled with multiple branches and doesn’t necessarily have the “normal” look to it. My posts will give you a deeper insight of what my family dynamic is like and how grace carried me through times that I felt most vulnerable. I grew up with the same 24 individuals since I was in pre-school until I graduated high school. After turning the page on this chapter, I was ready for the next… college. As a young woman in her 20’s, I have faced obstacles I never believed I would get through. I have been given opportunities that have opened multiple doors for me and my future endeavors, and God has also given me lessons that I have failed but learned. Throughout my journey thus far, I have risen through my faith and have trusted the power of grace to carry me through. The goal of my posts is to inspire others through my writing and my experiences.
